Another popular Ketchikan Excursion is our  Historic Totem Bight, Rainforest and City Tour, all in one.

 

Start off downtown and take in the sights and sounds of our historic logging and fishing town as we pass by staircase streets, The City Park and the Salmon Ladder. Stop at Creek Street with it's "Red Light District and wooden boardwalks. Hear the legends and stories of bootlegger's, brothels and dance halls.
 

Next, you'll head ten miles north of town.  Listen as your guide points out such landmarks as the Old Pulp Mill, Ward Cove Fish Cannery and Guard Island.  

 

Once at Totem Bight you will be guided along an easy path through a Majestic Temperate Rainforest to a clearing right on the ocean.  This historic waterfront site is home to 18 Totem Poles and a tradtional Clan House built and hand carved by Alaska Native artists in the 1920's. This Majestic Park setting is located on the edge of Alaska's famed Inside Passage waterway and what would be considered an old native fish camp site.
 

It is not uncommon to see Bald Eagles at the Park and to

hear the wisp of their wings as they fly overhead.

 

Next, you will enjoy the Russian Museum with its historic collection of guns, dating from 1535-1868 along with displays of Mammoth tusks, furs and ivory. Here you can browse the many rare and fascinating curiosities of the Alaska Totem Trading Shop.
 

This tour also includes Ketchikan's City Highlights. There

are many stops along the way for viewing wildlife when

present.

 

Our private van tours are 2.5 hours in length.  Vans can accommodate up to 13 passengers and can be booked online.  Book early online and save $100.00 off our standard price of $725.00. If you have a larger group we can accommodate in 25 passenger coaches or larger.

Due to increased park fees, administration and insurance costs beginning with the 2019 season, there is an additional $5.00 per person fee required for this Park only.  In addition tours into this park are unaccompanied by a tour guide and therefore self guided.
