Saxman Native Village Tour

Approimately 2 hours

Our Saxman Tour takes you to a real Native Village where you will see the world's largest collection of standing Totem Poles, a Carving Shed and a Native Clan House. View carvers as they create new Totem Poles out of red cedar.

You will also learn the stories and legends of the totem poles, (some over 100 years old) and view a traditional Beaver Clan House where Alaska Natives would have lived and celebrated. You will also see historical landmarks and harbors along with our famous "Red Light District", Creek Street . View Ketchikan's "Fish Ladder" where the Salmon fight their way upstream each season to spawn (June through September). Finally, our tour takes you on an easy beautiful scenic walk through the woods and down to the beach, which often includes sightings of Bald Eagles nesting and other Alaskan wildlife. Throughout our tour there will be stops along the way to exit the bus for viewing and photo opportunities, as well as rest rooms conveniently located through out the tour.

Wash Rooms and Rest Rooms are also available at several locations. Our goal is to make this the most memorable tour of your life!
